DFDS surprises lucky millionth mini cruise passenger with VIP treatment on Newcastle to Amsterdam sailing.
Jeanette Morgan from Hartlepool was given a welcome surprise at the Port of Tyne on Tuesday 24 May. Checking in for a DFDS mini cruise to Amsterdam, she became the millionth passenger to travel on a mini cruise since their launch in 1995. Jeanette and her partner Jodi Ann Pearson found themselves being showered in confetti and surprised with a VIP upgrade, including a luxury Commodore de Luxe cabin, onboard meals with wine, and a complimentary canal cruise in Amsterdam.
As an extra treat, during her overnight crossing, Jeanette was given more special treatment, including free wine tasting in one of the onboard bars, champagne and cake in her cabin, plus an exclusive visit to the bridge to meet the ship’s Captain.
Delighted Jeanette said: “It was such a lovely surprise to find out I was the millionth mini-cruise passenger. I’m very grateful to DFDS for this, it will certainly make the trip even more memorable. Today is definitely my lucky day!”
